Based on principles behind the photographic Zone System, developed by Ansel Adams in 1941, and traditional darkroom film photography, LightZone provides a collection of tools for performing such tasks as reducing noise, correcting color shifts and white balance errors, selectively sharpening or blurring all or parts of images, removing dust spots and boosting overall color. All this with a visual approach that tries to minimize the challenge of highly-technical commands and dialog boxes, while providing the ability to natively edit RAW files.

LightZone 3.5 offers increased camera compatibility with RAW files from the Canon 1Ds Mark III.

LightZone can be purchased on the Light Crafts site, with the Full version priced at $199.95 ($50 less than the previous version) and the Basic edition set at $129.95. Trial versions are also available for download.
