I am looking for free downloadable software which I can use for my small business to raise quotations and invoices for the products and services offered to my clients. Then once payments for the invoice are made am able to enter the receipts so as to update the accounts. The software should be able to make printouts of the quotations, invoices and receipts made. The software should also be able to allow me add my Company Logo.

July 18 - I just tried to connect to America Online. I've heard it is the
best online service I can get. They even included a free disk! I'd better
hold onto it in case they don't ever send me anther one! I can't connect.
I don't know what is wrong.

July 19 - Some guy at the tech support center says my computer needs a
modem. I don't see why. He's just trying to cheat me. How dumb does he think
I am?

July 22 - I bought the modem. I couldn't figure out where it goes. It wouldn't
fit in the monitor or the printer. I'm confused.

July 23 - I finally got the modem in and hooked up. that nine year old next
door did it for me. But it still don't work. I cant get online.

July 25 - That nine year old kid next door hooked me up to America Online
for me. He's so smart. I told the kid he was a prodigy. But he says that's
just another service. What a modest kid. He's so smart and he does these
services for people. Anyway he's smarter then the jerks who sold me the
modem. They didn't even tell me about communications software. Bet they
didn't know. And why do they put two telephone jack holes in the back of a
modem when you only need one? And why do they have one labeled phone when
you are not suppose to hook it to the phone jack on the wall? I thought
the dial tone sounded funny! Boy, are modem makers dumb! But the kid figured
it out by the sound.

July 26 - What's the internet? I thought I was on America Online. Not this
internet thing. I'm confused.

July 27 - The nine year old kid next door showed me how to use this America
Online stuff. I told him he must be a genius. He says that he is compared
to me. Maybe he's not so modest after all.

July 28 - I tried to use chat today. I tried to talk into my computer but
nothing happened. maybe I need to buy a microphone.

July 29 - I found this thing called usenet. I got out of it because I'm
connected to America Online not usenet.

July 30 - These people in this usenet thing keep using capital letters.
How do they do that? I never figured out how to type capital letters.
Maybe they have a different type of keyboard.

JULY 31 - I CALLED THE COMPUTER MAKER I BOUGHT IT FROM TO COMPLAIN ABOUT
NOT HAVING A CAPITOL LETTER KEY. THE TECH SUPPORT GUY SAID IT WAS THIS CAPS

Open Question: I'm looking for an ezine list manager that will send periodical mailings from join date?

There are many ezine and newsletter list managers and I have explored many, both hosted accounts and software to install on my own server. What I am looking for is a list that will allow me to create several mailings that will then be mailed to the person who joined one per week, or two weeks, or month (or whatever) until such time as there are none left and then stop.

What I'm trying to do here is create something like a class where the subscribers would get an email on a different topic each week and each topic would build upon the last. Thus, the traditional ezine setup wouldn't work for me because people who signed up later would miss the earlier information. Many allow a deferred option, so I can say send on this date, but that's not what I need either.

I hope that makes sense.

Anyway, does anyone have recommendations for either software or a service that can do this for me? Thanks.

Open Question: How do I access the local network from a computer logged into a limited access account?

Here at the office we have 7 computers networked. Three of them are for the administrators and we're having no issues with them. The other four that we have set up for everyone else are all on limited accounts because we don't want people adding software and such, but when logged into the limited account they can't access the all workgroups. Anyway to get around this without making the general login account a computer administrator?

I would like to know if there's a program available for free that can monitor all incoming emails and chat sessions (for hotmail accounts) BUT the information monitored be sent to perhaps another email? (a program that doesn't monitor emails and chat sessions on a network or a computer that the software/program is stored in.)
I would like to monitor all chat sessions for an email address that i have access to, (i know the password, and access it when i need to) but i don't have access to all conversations. Resolved Question: A good download manager for multiple links?

I'm wanting to download a large file off the internet via my Rapidshare account. The only problem is that this software is split into 80 different .rar's meaning 80 different links!

I personally find it quite boring copying and pasting all those links. Is there a download manager which is able to automatically see those links and download them?

For example, the links are set out like so

Open Question: Installation issues with Vista, HP PSC 1510, and "Run as" installation?

The new computer has Vista. The PSC 1510 All-in-One is my two-year-old worked-fine-on-XP printer. Actually the printer works fine with Vista, it's the software to use the scanner that won't install.

When I try to install the scan utilities from the disk (or the hard drive, since I copied the files to a temp folder also), I first get an error about incorrect OS - the usual "Not compatible with Windows 6.0".

So I ran the installation executable in XP-compatible SP2 mode. This time the error is "Unable to install in 'Run As' Mode" and tells me to install from administrator's account. My account is the administrator- I executable as administrator anyway. Same error message.

I ran HP's driver check-up and it came back fine. I tried to install the driver downloaded from the website - same issue.

Is there a way to make the installation software think it's not being used in "Run as" mode?

Open Question: How can somebody knows all my emails after I change passwd many times?

This person has used my computer before. I don't know what he did in my Yahoo!mail(I have changed passwd many times), he seems know all my new yahoo emails and he keeps sending emails to me to threaten me. I refer to Ubuntu, it out performs Vista on almost all accounts.

Ubuntu will run faster on 512mb RAM with the full Compiz Fusion package engaged, than Vista will run on 1gb RAM and struggles with its own inferior Aero.

There is no shortage of open source software that runs variuos applications bundled with Ubuntu, with Vista you need to spend even more on dedicated software.

What conclusions out of this do you draw.

Resolved Question: Does anyone have problems with poker sites' refer-a-friend programs?

My brother referred me to Carbon Poker, and I signed up and earned the 250 points to qualify us both for the bonuses.

Now Carbon is saying that I can't get the bonus, because the software was loaded on his PC once BEFORE I referred him, even though there was never an account created.

As you can imagine, the reason the software was on there was because he wanted to TRY IT OUT!!!

As you can also imagine, we checked with Carbon in advance, and they said "delete the software before you reload it", which we did.

As you can ALSO imagine, the site said he was referred, allowed everything to work, and even TRACKED ALL HIS POINTS for me. They only 'red-flagged' it AFTER he had earned the bonus, and it was time to pay up.

I recently received a product (as a gift) that is supposed to come with a software disk, however it didn't come with it.

I have been emailing the company that makes the product and they have tried to send me the file that will allow the device to interact with my PC, yet it has failed on both occasions and I get this message:

"A suspicious attachment has been removed. Contact support for details. %%ATTACHMENT_NAME%%"

I have tried Hotmail, and Yahoo mail... they both failed, I asked him to try my Gmail account (no idea if that will work).

Does anybody know of any (free) email clients that won't remove the attachment?
I meant online ones... like hotmail, gmail etc.

I don't really want to have to download something just to get this file.
When he first sent the attachment he said I would need winzip to open it, which would mean it is already a .zip

He's sending from a company PC or something so doubt downloading winRAR or any apps is an option.

I always receive the message above everytime I try to disable my internet connection.

I use ADSL--"Local Area Connection" which automatically updates the IP and DNS.

Whether I use the modem alone or the wireless router, this message still comes around. I've yet to see this message while sharing the router connection, meaning I haven't seen this message when otheres are using the router.

I don't connect to other computers.

Is this a virus? Software problem? Hardware problem? Hacker/Leech? Connection problem?

I hadn't used my Xdrive account for while and I used it today. Everything is working fine except I can't get a upload popup window. It shows an error.

As I was watching my coworker from across the room, I watched him silently scream (almost hissy fit like) at his reflection in the office windows on his way back to his desk. 1. He is not mentally retarded, he's quite intelligent, and at least appears stable emotionally, other than this incident.
2. I figured the low cut top was pertinent to the situation, given the fact I feel sexual tension around him and he might reciprocate, and that certainly would not have helped matters that day. I wore it cause I look better in vnecks, cause I'm a petite but curvy individual, but that's an answer for the style question board.
3. I'm amused at the people who respond to cheating questions with "just don't", it's so helpful. <sarcasm> No one wants to cheat.
oh and and I wasn't flirting. I said I hadn't done anything close to flirting in 2 weeks.

Voting Question: Need simple cash accounting software, everything I try is too complicated?

I spend 1000 to 1500 a month on cash purchases and want software to track them. One Person Office did the job just fine in DOS 5. There are no simple Windows programs that I can find. Keepsoft Home Book keeping Lite is pretty good but it badgers U to Upgrade, so I upgraded but the badgering won't go away and I don't like the full program. Suggestions?
